"Rock My World" is the 18th episode of season three of Generator Rex and the 58th of the overall series. The episode was released on XBox LIVE, Zune, Playstation Network, and iTunes. It officially aired on December 26, 2012.
Rex becomes a security guard of a music band called the Trendbenders. He has to protect them from an obsessed fan who was angry at the change in the band.
Rex and Beverly are both attending a concert, where a band, called the Trendbenders, will be performing. Beverly states that it is awesome, but would find it more interesting to be up front. Rex uses his technopathic powers to trick the crowd into thinking that the band will be entering from the back of the concert hall so that he and Beverly can move closer. Much to their displeasure Dr. Holiday is acting like an overprotective mother, constantly calling their cellphones to ensure their safety.
During the concert a fan named Sebastian, who claims he is their first fan, attempts to get the band's attention. Rex attempts to calm him down, but the fan reveals himself to be an EVO with self-duplicating abilities who proceeds to fight Rex. Sebastian and his clone's teamwork initially gives them the advantage until Rex starts using his own abilities and chases him off.
JoJo, the Trendbender's manager, notices the fight and introduces Rex and Beverly to the band. She states that Sebastian was one of their first fans and he did not take kindly to their change in style and fame and turned violent and the fact that he is an EVO is not helping the situation. JoJo offers Rex and Beverly the position of head of security and second in command for the rest of the tour.
Rebecca comes in to take Rex and Beverly back home. Rex however points out that the band is being harassed by an EVO and Rebecca reluctantly allows Rex to stay, still taking Beverly home. Rex and the band take their bus to their next gig in Eugene, Oregon. Rex discovers that the rock star lifestyle is not what it is cracked up to be. Sebastian sneaks into the band's hotel room in the form of room service.
Much to their surprise, Sebastian has brought detailed notes about the band's concerts trying to get them back to their roots. Rex holds off the clones long enough for the band to get away but the clones give chase, with a RPG. After a ruthless battle Rex is able to save the band and cure Sebastian, turning him into a pile of goo in the process.
The others offer to keep Rex onboard and he happily accepts. While at first Rex is having fun, the rock star lifestyle is quickly wearing thin. JoJo books a club on the band's day off because of a high payoff. The group quickly realizes that it is a trap set by Sebastian and the one Rex cured was yet another clone. Sebastian has lured the band to the bar they first played at, has attached bombs to them, and demands that the group play one of their original songs. Afterwards, he states that "their career ends with a bang".
The group also discovers that Sebastian has made hundreds, potentially thousands, of clones. The band at first refuses to play, however Sebastian reveals he has wired their instruments to electrocute them if they refuse. Sebastian soon learns that the band cannot even play their original songs like they used to and accelerates the countdown.
Rex realizes that the only difference between Sebastian and the clones is that he feels pain. With this, he orders the band to play maximum feedback and easily picks out the real Sebastian. Rex dismantles the explosives and cures Sebastian who is taken into police custody. With Sebastian no longer a threat, Rex decides to quit the security job and fly back home, with Rebecca going on in his ear over his cellphone.
